Did you know, according to the NWEA, students can lose on average 36% of their school-year gains in reading and a whopping 50% of their school-year gains in math skills?! Students should read for pleasure.....in particular, books they have an interest in. Books should be on their level or even a little above.

Read aloud to your child.

Purchase a summer workbook- We like the Summer Bridge Workbooks. These can be purchased at Barnes and Noble, Books-A-Million, or Amazon. (Ask your teacher for the appropriate level for your child)
